TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF FLUSHING

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON INCREASING PROPERTY TAXES

The Charter Township of Flushing will hold a public hearing to return its General Fund operating levy to 0.5000 mill from 0.4828 mill, the rate rolled back by Truth in Taxation. The difference is 0.0172 mills, or 3.56%, and returns our authorized mill to 0.5000 mill. The Township is authorized to levy 1.0400 mills.

The Township proposes to levy 3.1456 mills of the authorized 3.4114 mills approved for police operations. The present rate of 3.0628 mills, as rolled back by Truth in Taxation, if returned to 3.1456 mills, will represent a change of 2.7%, or 0.0828 mills.

The Truth in Taxation public hearing will be held at the Special Township Board Meeting on September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
