NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF FLUSHING
GENESEE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
TO THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS ON COLDWATER
ROAD FROM MCKINLEY ROAD TO THE FLINT RIVER
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that as a result of petitions of property owners, within the above listed district, signed by more than 50% of said owners, the township will hold a public hearing to review the possibility of establishing a private road assessment. If the Flushing Township Board should decide to approve the request of the property owners, they would amend the special assessment district, for the recovery of the cost, to the properties that benefit therein.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the assessment against the properties in the assessment district will be $500.00 per year placed on their taxes.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the petition may be examined from the date of this notice until the commencement of the public hearing.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the hearing will take place at the Charter Township of Flushing Hall at 6524 N. Seymour Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433 commencing at 6pm on June 9, 2026.
At such hearing, the board will consider any written approvals or objections and a decision on approval or disapproval will be made based on the number of votes received or taken for or against the assessment.
All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place, and to submit comments concerning any of the foregoing.
