FLUSHING TOWNSHIP NATURE PARK ORDINANCE

Please help us keep Flushing Township Nature Park running and looking great
by following the park ordinance.

These regulations of the Flushing Township Nature Park Ordinance are punishable as a Civil Infraction. 
The Nature Park Manager has the authority to write citations,
which have escalating fees starting at $50.00

 Dogs are allowed on a leash and under the control of the owner at all times to prevent possible reckless endangerment to people, plants, and wildlife.  This rule is enforced throughout the year and the fee is doubled in the Sping during ground birds’ nesting season.

 Horses are allowed on designated trails and must be under the control of the owner at all times to prevent possible reckless endangerment to people, plants and wildlife.

 Bicycles are permitted when used in a safe and orderly manner

 

THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED

 

 Vehicles remaining on park property after park operating hours.

Unauthorized vehicles onto recreational trails without special permit issued by Flushing Township

 Operating a vehicle in an inappropriate manner

 ATV, Snowmobiles, Go-carts, or Dun-buggy on park property at any time

Hunting or trapping of any animal at any time

 Destruction or defacing of any park property

 Destruction or the removal of any plant or animal life, without permission from management

 Littering or pollution of any kind

 Alcohol or illegal drugs on the premises at any time.  No person shall be under the influence of any of these substances while on park property

 Fires of any kind without special permit from Flushing Township

 Fire works of any kind at any time

 Camping without permission from Flushing Township

  Use of loud or amplified music, or any other means as to disturb the peace

 Swimming at any time
